Blogging Fingers’ Holiday Pump and Dump: Ethical?

Is it ethical to pump a new blog over the holidays and then selling it based on the best 30 days of income? Isn't there something wrong with selling the blog based on income that will arguably be higher than any other month of the year. It just seems like there's something wrong with it. And would you buy a blog based on those numbers?

Modular Homes. Same as Mobile Homes?

Modular Homes or Mobile Homes? What's the Difference? Lets define the term Mobile Homes. They are so called because they are built offsite and then are moved by truck to the location where they will reside. Thus the Mobile in the mobile home.

modular homes are also built offsite and then moved by truck to the location that they will reside. Using that broad definition, a modular home is indeed a mobile home. For most other purposes, e.g. insurance and mortgage, they are also considered to be a mobile home.

This is a little silly and really should be updated. There are some very significant differences between the two. The first and most important is that a modular home is always placed on a foundation. In some cases, they have a basement as well. Only in a few permanent and rare cases are mobile home placed on a foundation. Instead they can usually be found still on their wheels with a skirt around the bottom of them.

Another difference is in construction. A modular home is built exactly the same way as a conventionally built house. The only difference is the location that they are built. That and they are built in a way that will allow for transportation easily and for connecting the two sides. Once connected, the two sides rarely come undone. Mobile homes on the other hand are a little less stable. They almost always are lacking in the insulation and wall thickness department. And the construction methods are completely different.

In the end, if you're thinking of buying an economical home, you'll be better off with a modular vs. a mobile and only slightly better off with a house built on site. I've lived in all three and while there is a perceivable difference between a mobile home and the other two, it's difficult to tell the difference between a modular and a on site house.

Looking to Refinance your Mortgage?

If you got a mortgage in the last 5 or so years, chances are that you might be looking for a good way to refinance that mortgage. You're probably stuck in a 5/1 arm or some sort of interest-only loan that is about to eat you for lunch.

And chances are you're right. Many of the mortgage loans that have been made in the last few years have given people the chance to own more home than they really can afford. Now that interest rates are up, your payment might just be on the way up too.

Do yourself a favor and look into refinancing today. It just might be the only thing that keeps you out of foreclosure.

Bad Credit? Bad Credit Offers has a Loan for You!

I'm not one to tell you to go out and get a loan when you've got debt problems. I think it would be silly of you to do so. Why go further into debt when you already have problems?

If, on the other hand, you find yourself recovered from debt problems and in need of a loan, there are several places that can help you. One such place is Bad Credit Offers where you can get a few options for getting bad credit loans. I took a look at the places that are making the offers and they are really pretty reliable and have good reputations. That's good. Avoid payday loans like a bad habit.

Whatever you do, make sure to use debt responsibly. If you can keep it under control and manage your money properly, you can find yourself debt free and not needing it again anytime soon. Good luck, keep your debt and money inline and you'll get ahead. Get behind and you'll find yourself back at a bad credit loaner again in no time.

Lapband by Journey Lite

If you are overweight, and there are a very high percentage of people that are, maybe a lapband is what will help. Lapband is essentially a weight loss surgerywhere they cut you open and put an adjustable "band" around your stomach that cuts the capacity of the stomach down. A forced diet if you will.

For some with weak wills that cannot diet on their own, or fall off of the diet wagon, this could be the best option.

It obviously won't be for everyone, and I'm sure that there are restrictions to who can get the surgery. But on the bright side, it is reversible if it doesn't work, or if there are complications. JourneyLite even has a forum, support lines, and support groups along with plenty of information on their website to help you along.

Of course, you really should discuss a surgery of any kind with your doctor and realize that there is no easy surgery and there will be pain and adjustment.

Rob Zombie Directs the New Halloween Movie!

There's a new Halloween the movie on it's way! And Rob Zombie is the director! I'm just guessing here, but I think this will be the best Halloween movie ever. Ok, so honestly, I'm not old enough to remember most of the movies, but I've seen a few of them and in their day, they were scary.

Rob Zombie will make them look like kiddy movies. Seriously, have you ever seen a movie by Rob? He's good at scary movies. Want more proof? Check out the trailer.

That good enough for you? Looks pretty darn good doesn't it? It would appear to be a "the beginning of" movie that portrays the very beginning of the Michael Myers saga. Really could be quite interesting. The think I really like about it is that you get to see the man behind the mask. Michael Myers becomes a little more human and maybe, just maybe, you sympathize with him just a little. Not enough to really make you like him, but to sympathize with what he went through to become what he is/was. And then Rob Zombie will scare the pants off of you!

The new Halloween the movie is coming August 31st 2007. It could be a "see it in the theater" kind of movie. I've only been to two movies in a theater this year, so that tells you what I think of the movie. The combination of what appears to be a pretty scary movie and the fact that Rob Zombie is directing it is enough to get me excited about it.

Is BP as clean as it seems?

BP, the big oil company formerly known as British Petroleum (that's where the BP comes from), seems to have sent out it's spin control dogs. It seems the Chicago Tribune wrote an article on their Whiting refinery on the shores of lake Michigan. I can't see the article because it's behind a login page that I don't have or want a login for, but it obviously banged a little on the reputation of the refinery and how it disposes of their waste.

I'll try and give you the rundown. BP got permission for an increase in the release of pollutants into Lake Michigan. Some environmentalists got all upset about it and started an uproar. The Chicago Tribune ran with it and wrote a sensationalist (based on inferences) piece on the permit. BP, in their defense, released spin control to try and get some of the "facts" out about the release of extra pollutants into the lake.

So, here goes. The following are from the "fact sheet" that BP released to help explain the situation.

Part of the issue is that BP is planning to modernize the refinery. Planning to. Haven't yet, but will. The water released into the lake is over 99.99% water, not sludge. Oil companies seem to get easily offended when you call their offage sludge. And they are quick to point out that the new permitted levels are still well below the Federal regulations.

Here's my take on the whole thing. A refinery is by it's nature a messy thing. It takes a raw material (in this case Oil) and creates a usable product (Gasoline). We need Gasoline. We need refineries. Simple as that.

With that said, BP needs to stop hiding behind the Federal regulations and work to get their emissions as low as possible. They need to not be doing just enough to keep themselves under their limits, but to try and eliminate the waste altogether. Until they do that, they are going to have to keep working the spin to keep their nose a little less oily. (pardon the pun)

BP, if you're reading this, please do what you can to reduce your pollutants as much as possible. I don't think that in your line of business that no pollutants is possible, but you can work to reduce them even further rather than releasing more. As a citizen, it is your responsibility to do what is best for your community and your world.

They did what?

Ok, I have to admit that everyonce in a while I get caught up in the whole paparazzi and celebrity thing and find myself indulging in some celebrity rumors. It's human nature isn't it? We always want to know what the people who are higher up the food chain are doing. Of course, in some cases, maybe we shouldn't. Our kids look to many of these people as idols and half of them can't seem to keep their darn clothes on.

Celebrity Gossip is a new site that does a pretty good job of the shebang. They act as an aggregator as well, so if you're reading the story on their site, you also get a few links to other sites that are discussing the same thing. Pretty sweet idea really. Gives a little SEO juice as well. They also let the readers vote on the stories so you can see quickly which stories are worth reading and which are not. Of course, like any other blog out there, you can post comments to the site as well which lends for some pretty good discussion of the story.

I could do without the pink though.

Every breath you take: Police coming back for tour

Just in case you missed the massive publicity onslaught recently, the band "The Police" is making a comeback. Frankly, I'm really not all that big of a fan since most of what they did was before or shortly after I was born. Before my time as it were.

They released a new CD on the 5th of June 2007 and it's got a pretty cool looking "vintage" The Police poster packaged with it. From what it looks like, it's a compilation of their greatest hits. Which makes me wonder. Did they really need to go back on tour for it? I suppose that it makes some sense as they do have some rather rabid fans in some parts of the world. Gives those fans a pretty good reason to get out to a concert and enjoy themselves.

The Police certainly do have some good music. Like I said, a little before my time, but still good none the less.

Here's the new commercial for the CD and tour that they are running on the TV in the UK.

Not bad. Makes a guy want to rush down to the nearest CD store and buy a copy. Of course, that would be if I had a local CD store. Around here, it's Amazon or bust.

Of course, the funny bit is that the record company or PR company or whomever is running this publicity blitz for The Police has fully embraced the blogosphere. Otherwise, I wouldn't be getting paid to write this article and post that commercial. The funny thing is, even though they seem to be up with the times, they sure don't seem willing to share and share alike. Where's the free tracks for download? Where's the free CD for download. They could do twice as many concerts to make up for the lost sales and still come out ahead.

Enough of that rambling though. Go out and check out The Police CD and maybe catch a concert or two. It very well may be the last opportunity you get to seem them live. Of course, they could end up like the Rolling Stones and tour for another 20 or so years.

Are you a Survivor?

What would you do if you found yourself in a city without any money, and no resources? Would you find a way to get food? Would you be able to find shelter? Would you be able to Survive?

That's the basic premise of the USA Network's new series "Burn Notice." Of course, it's a little more dramatized than all that. The main character, Michael Westen, is a covert ops (read spy) agent that has had a "burn notice" placed on him. A burn notice is a bad reference of sorts that eliminates any chance of getting a new job in his line of work. He gets fired. With malice.

USA Network's Burn Notice seems like it might be a pretty good show. I'll have to try and catch a couple of episodes and find out. I've been a little short of good shows to watch since the seasons ended for Jericho, CSI and Battlestar Gallactica.

I can't imagine being in a situation like this guy gets himself into. Of course, I'm no spy so I wouldn't have the personal resources that he does. I'd have to count on the help of others and hopefully some good weather. At least a few good days of it. If it were a big city, there's always a homeless shelter of some sort. You'd want to try and find a job of some sort. Without the resources of a spy, becoming a one man A-team probably would be out of the question. Fast food joints are always hiring. Not exactly a high paying job, but at least you could get some discounts on some food. ;)

If you have the USA Network, you might want to tune in on the 28th @ 9 Central to see just what the Burn Notice is all about. I'll be checking it out.

PayPerPost gets Funding

The PayPerPost Revolution Accelerates, Sponsored
Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company's Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

Wow. $7 Million. That's a ton of money. What would you do if you were PPP right now? Well, for starters, you'd spread a little of the money around to the PPP users right? Well, PPP is. This is one of the opps that they are doing. There will be a few that are a little bit more than this one paid, all the way up to $700. If that's not an incentive to join up and start using PPP, I don't know what is. I really don't.

I think that the extra funding finally gives PPP a little bit of credibility that they didn't have before. It really is a kind of neat way for bloggers to make a little money on the side. Unless you've got a high PR blog with lots of traffic, you aren't going to make a career out of it, but you might end up alright with a little extra. And it's also a great way to reach out to the community at large by becoming an advertiser to advertise on blogs.

So, if I were PPP, I'd spread the money around a little like they have. I'd also start hiring some full time staff to help out with the approvals and denials and such. I'd also buy myself some better servers since their servers are slow, slow, slow. If you use PPP, you will have noticed that already, but if you don't, beware. They are slow. Not tear your hair out slow. But slow enough. Next, I'd do a little mainstream advertising on places like technorati. There is enough buzz going around, but a little extra couldn't hurt. Especially a little positive buzz. Maybe some Mike Arrington sucks type of blog posts... mayb not, but it would be fun.

Webroot Spy Sweeper: solution for Spyware

If you've ever had to deal with spyware, you know how hard it can be to find and get rid of. Without proper tools, it can take hours and hours. Heck, with proper tools, it can still take hours sometimes. The stuff just won't go away.

I work as a computer technician and support about 150 workstations on a daily basis. Occasionally, we get calls about workstations not working properly. In most cases, it's something simple, but occasionally we find ourselves facing a spyware infested machine. The last time we did so, we ended up cleaning up nearly 400 different spyware and tracking cookies from the machine. It's amazing how quickly the computer ran after we had removed it all. It took us a couple of hours to get it all, but eventually, it worked again.

It was shortly after that that we started using an active spyware protection program to help keep our computers clean from spyware. A program like Webroot Spy Sweeper can actively protect you from all kinds of spyware and malware. It's a great solution for your spyware removal needs and can get a 3 pc license package for only $39.95. Only need one license? It's only $29.95. An extra $10 per license gets you a full fledged anti-virus software as well. You can't go wrong.

So, if you really want to deal with the detection and removal of spyware and take hours of your time, you can go on without any protection. If you don't want to deal with it at all and keep yourself fully protected, pick yourself up a copy of Webroot Spy Sweeper!

Stephen King's new Movie: 1408

If you're anything of a Stephen King fan like I am, you sometimes look upon movies based on his books with some trepidation. There have been some truly horrible adaptations of his novels. And we won't mention all 19(exaggeration) of the "Sometimes they come back" movies.

I feel absolutely none of that with the new adaptation coming out. The 1408 Movie is based on King's short by the same name. The basic gist of the whole thing is that an Author who writes books about haunted mansions, hotels, houses, cars, and so on checks into a hotel to stay in the haunted room 1408. In true King fashion, the author soon finds out that the room really is haunted and he struggles to make it through the night.

The 1408 Movie has a pretty excellent cast. I can't help but think that with a cast like Sam Jackson and John Cusack this movie is going to be amazing. Have either of these guys ever made a bad movie? If they have, I haven't seen it.

In any case, it would have to be a pretty bad movie for it to not be better than about 75% of the Stephen King movie adaptations so far. The trailer looks pretty sweet too! The movie opens June 22nd and I just might have to make my way down to see it. Between the 1408 and the new Harry Potter movie, it could be a busy couple of months this summer. I'm going to have to go dig up my copy of 1408 and give it a reread however. It's one of the short stories in the collection of stories called "Everything is Eventual" and also in the audio collection called "Blood and Smoke."

Oh, here's the trailer for the movie:

Minimum Wage Increase to Become Reality

After a decade-long wait, America's lowest-paid workers saw Congress poised Thursday to increase the federal minimum wage by $2.10. And what a ridiculous move. If Congress were to put a minimum price/gallon on gas, we'd be in an uproar. But because we all falsely believe that we'll benefit in some way because it's has to do with our pay, we're all for it. Stupid. Not only will it not help things, it could end up making things worse.

PayPerPost Rocks!!!

For the last month or so I've been experimenting with the PayPerPost service. Basically, companies, individuals and such pay you to put ads on blogs. It's actually a pretty easy thing to do and the rewards, while not in the income replacement category, are pretty good.

In the month that I've been using the service, I've made about $80 and have already received payment for the first few. The service pays on a 30 day net. What that means is that you write the post and put in the link and if it's still live after 30 days, you get the money that was offered with the opportunity. The most I've gotten for one opportunity is $15.

Most of the opportunities are in the $5 to $10 range and have requirements of one link, maybe a tracking image, and about 100-200 words. Pretty easy money. The only other requirements are that posts can't be one right after the other and you can only do 3 ( I think) posts a day.

There are larger opportunities that can be had for $50, $100, and more if you meet their requirements. Many exempt certain domains (blogspot being one of them) and require certain alexa rank or pagerank. Of course, this can eliminate this blog from some of the better paying opportunities, but maybe in time I can start making the big bucks.

At the moment, I'm just using the money for a little extra spending money to supplement my regular income, but maybe as time goes on and I get some of the better paying opportunities, I'll get to use it for some tech gear or something!

Google turns over goverment information to the public.

How long before this becomes a disaster for Google or the the Gov't?It is a common misnomer that "everything is available on the web." You'll also here people say that the answer to any question is just a Google search away. Neither of these ideas are true, but hopefully over time they'll become more and more the reality. Today came news that we're one baby step closer to that reality.

Person.com: Web 2.0 Personals

Ok, I have to admit that as a Married man, I don't have much use for a personals website. So, in reviewing Person.com, I find it a little hard to really envision myself using it. For the sake of the review, I'll try and put myself in a single persons shoes for a bit.

Person.com dubs itself "Person.com - webcams, chat, personals" so lets take a look at that.

Webcams. First thing I notice is the most popular one on the list is a female in her underthings. Not exactly the best thing to see if your thinking it's a real personals site. More of a Adult friend finder wanna be if that's what is gonna be advertised. In the first 10 webcams, 5 of them are in a less than fully dressed status.

Chat. You've got to register to chat, and I don't need my wife finding out I have an account on some personals page so I didn't register. But really... with chat rooms with names like sexitis and the like, it doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to figure out what's happening there.

Personals. You get the standard "I am a ? seeking a ?" search box leading to the standard list of search hits. You get the added bits of a picture and some of the stats, but again, you get the feeling that it's more of a sex market than a relationship market.

Overall, it's a bit of a Adult sex personals site than a true match.com or the like. Fine if that's what your looking for, but really, does it have to be that obvious? I guess you get what you pay for. Sign ups are free.

How Wal-Mart's TV Prices Crushed Rivals

Now, it is becoming apparent that Wal-Mart's calculated decision to break the $1,000 barrier for flat-panel TVs triggered a disastrous financial meltdown among some consumer-electronics retailers over the past four months. And I can't feel sorry for them. If Wal-Mart can get the price down there, then they could too. It's just a matter of how much dead weight in their system that needs to be trimmed. Don't fault Wal-Mart for good business sense.

Bid4Prizes: Reversed auctions

Have you ever wished that you could find a really, really good deal on eBay but just can't find one? Now, bid4prizes has come up with a much better way to win what you want. You pick your prize and make a "bid" for the item. The lowest unique bid wins the item. The key word there is unique. If you and 30 other people bid $0.01, you don't win. The guy down the street that bid $2.36 wins.

So, there's gotta be a catch right? Yeah, I guess so. The site is ad supported so you have to look at ads all day long. Your other option is to pay $9.99 a month for unlimited bids with no ads. Not a bad deal if you can win a prize every couple of months or so.

At the moment, there is a Scion, an iPhone, and a 50" tv up for auction. Not too bad for prizes. I'd love to see something really big. Think boats, houses, planes. Well, I dunno how any of that would work, but it'd be cool. A house perhaps. Or rather the materials for it's construction? My first bid would be 914 cents. Why? I dunno. Seems odd enough to have a chance at being unique.

It's a pretty genius idea. And a really cool concept. It seems to be on it's way to being a great site and a really good stop for many of us uncontrollable web addicts.

Trade Futures, Exchanges and Forex

Do you invest? I do. Mostly in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. I've even dabbled a little in a couple of oddball investments, but as yet, I haven't tried the exchanges. Things like commodities, foreign exchange, and options always seemed a little bit out of my league.

Maybe it was because I just didn't have enough experience with the stuff to feel comfortable getting my feet wet. Maybe it was more about not knowing what I was doing and not thinking there was any profit to be made in those areas.

What it boils down to is that those areas of investment are the black sheep of the investment world. When people think investments, they automatically think stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, and savings accounts. Why? Because they are the "easiest" to understand. The most common.

Now, if you want to trade in global futures there is a website or two that will help you out. The global futures Exchange & Trading Co has lots and lots of research tools and information that is designed to get you started on the right foot and to keep you going until you know what your doing and see the amazing potential for profit in trading futures, commodities, and forex.

The price barrier to investing has also been lowered, as global futures lets customers open accounts with as little as $250. That's a pretty good drop from the $1000 or more that most places will make you start with. It's just enough to give you leeway to play around without losing your shirt if it's not your "cup of tea."

Mortgage Lowdown, a blog on Mortgages

With the huge rise in real estate and house flipping and the like, mortgage information all of a sudden was something that nobody could get enough of. Now, with the impending decline of the housing market, we still need to get our mortgage information fix. Maybe more so now than before.

So, if you're looking for info on mortgages, stop on in to the Mortgage Lowdown blog. It's a great site about mortgages and home ownership. They've been around since mid 2006 and have kept a pretty steady flow of info coming out. Their post frequency is a little low, but with such a pinpointed niche blog, it might be something that is more of a result of the niche than because of lack of ambition. In any case, what information is there is good.

Also, check out the Carnival of home improvement posts as they have some great pointers and links to even more great home information.

Design wise, there's a whole lot of text on a rather bland template. If it were me, I'd cut it back so that only about 3-5 posts show on the front page and seriously enhance my navigation with categories and popular posts. The template could use some sprucing up and as it would seem to be a blogger blog hosted on their domain, they may not have much ability to change. I know I don't here.

Overall, a pretty good blog. A good start, with potential.

Blog Review: Payday Loan Lowdown

Payday loans are generally a thing you want to avoid. While there may be some very extreme situation where they could serve a use, they are very, very few and far between.

Payday loans' rates can be completely outrageous. Unless you have absolutely no other option but to use one, avoid them. In 9 out of 10 cases, they will hurt your situation in the long run even though they seem like a quick fix now.

That all being said, if you want some low down information on payday loans, what better place than a payday loan blog? PayDay Loan Lowdown has plenty of great articles on Payday loans. They cover both the positive and the negative side of the PayDay Loan coin and really lay out a lot of information for you to read and digest.

The blog has been around since May of last year and has kept going strong. Their writing is decent but borders on extremely dry at times. Of course, their topic probably doesn't help with that at all. The blog design was a little hard on my eyes. Of course, being a blogger blog like this one, I know there aren't much to select from as far as templates go. But design is one of the most important parts of the equation in getting and keeping readers.

Again, try to avoid PayDay Loans, but if you must, educate yourself first. And in educating yourself, make a stop at PayDay Loan Lowdown. It shouldn't be your only source of information, but it certainly can be one of them.

Great resource for Debt Consolidation news

In my writing of A Penny Saved, I do quite a bit of research and have found a resource on debt consolidation news and debt news in general. It also seems to be a great resource for personal finance articles.

The design of the blog is easy on the eyes and gentle to read. Perhaps that stems from it's simple design. One large column for the content left of center and a smaller column on the right for navigation and outlinks. One other thing you'll notice is a stunning lack of advertisements. As you'll notice on my sites, I believe in a little ad revenue now and again, but if you make the choice to not have any, that's yours to make.

Overall, you won't find any shortage of articles to read as there is very nearly a years worth of archives and each month of them is filled with great news, tidbits and insight. If you're looking for a great resource to learn about debt consolidation, personal finance, and general debt, this is certainly one blog that should be on your list.

Feature Rich Sales Lead Management

If you follow any sort of SEO/Internet Marketing news, you know that one of the key cornerstones is Sales Lead management. If you've ever tried to do a little Sales Lead generation and management, you know that both can be fairly expensive.

AIMPromote has taken some of the expense out of the equation with their Sales Lead Management product. It's a full featured customer relationship management software that does just about anything you could want it to do.

No matter what level of subscription you buy from them, all of the features are available. The only thing that is limited or changes is the volume of usage you have available. Why's that important? Because it scales. It scales to small businesses that only need a couple of hundred contacts and it scales to full enterprise use with thousands of contacts.

Add to that the low pricing structure and you've got one heck of a Lead Management software. You certainly need to go take a look at it's features and compare it to what you're using. You just might find a way to sneak in that extra bit of advertising into the budget after the money you'll save.

Vote for your favorite blog!!!

Everybody knows what the Grammys, Emmys and People's Choice awards are. But did you know that there are Blog awards too? There's the Bloggies and now there's the Blogger's Choice Awards.

Awards like the Blogger's Choice Awards give us all an opportunity to choose our favorite blogs and bloggers and give them some of the recognition that we feel that they deserve. In fact, if you'd like to nominate this blog or any of my other blogs, feel free. I won't mind. Promise. Probably wouldn't get many votes anyways, but it'd still be fun.

The Blogger's choice awards have plenty of different categories to choose from and nominate into. From the "Best Animal Blogger" to "Hottest Mommy Blogger" and even "Worst blog of all time" there's a spot for everything.

Anybody can nominate and vote in all of the categories. Votes are tallied in real-time so you can watch as they climb for your favorites. Votes are being accepted until May 22 and will be announced on June 2 at PostieCon in Orlando. The results will be posted on the site shortly after the ceremony.

I personally haven't voted yet because I just don't think the word is getting out enough. Any awards for best food blog that has a top 3 consisting of Vegan blogs just isn't right. But we can change all that. We can spread the word and get more and more people to vote for their favorite blogs. More people voting means more votes for the best of the best. Unless you like vegan food that is. If that's the case, I'm sorry. Maybe if you had taste buds you could stand the real food?

I see the perennial top blog Dooce has made an appearance in several of the categories. Even in the Hottest mommy blogger category. Not sure I think she really belongs on that list. Not that she's an ugly woman, just not the hottest one I know. Course, I don't read that many mommy bloggers either.

There are a few other picks that seem to be products of the lack of traffic. WilWheaton.typepad.com is at the top or near the top in several categories. He's got a lot of followers/readers that are obviously pretty loyal. Not sure if he asked for votes or not, but if he didn't he could win in landslides if he did.

And while we're on the subject, how does Fark.com get to the top of the list for the "Best Blog about Stuff"? Fark doesn't exactly strike me as a stuff blog. More of a news/parody/political blog really. Blogs like Engadget or Crunch Gear or NotCot.org are the real stuff blogs. But who am I to argue I guess. Can't say as I know everything. Not yet anyways. Give me a few days... ;)

Go vote for the best blog

Stone Hawk Rehabilitation: Natural cure to a unnatural problem

We've all seen the movies where they lock up the drug addicts. They tie them down and shoot them up with more drugs to get them off of the drugs they are addicted to. All it does is screw them up and they relapse within months of getting out.

That's not the way it works at Stone Hawk Narconon Drug Rehab program.
The drug rehab program at Narconon Stone Hawk instead uses a combination of proper nutrition and nutritional supplementation to help eliminate drug addiction and alcoholism. This program is not psychiatric, nor is it medical. Success is achieved through social education, which leads to a higher rate of drug rehabilitation success.

Using the proper nutrition and supplementation, they can then reset the bodies receptors that "need" the drug that they are addicted to. They no longer need to have that dirty little secret and can go about living their lives as a rehabilitated drug addict.

Sure, they still have to battle the demons every day, but they don't relapse nearly as often and it's a much more natural method to eliminating the need for the addiction.
