Laser board game: A geekier chess

In this game, you may move one of your pieces one square or rotate one 90 degrees before firing your laser to see if one of your opponent's (or one of your) pieces will be removed. A high-tech re-imagining of chess.

New Animal Discovered

I'm amazed by the fact that even with all the exploration that we have done that we still find new species. And not just new species of insects or microbes but a fairly large animal.


In the dense central forests of Borneo, a conservation group has found what appears to be a new species of mammal. WWF caught two images of the animal, which is bigger than a domestic cat, dark red, and has a long muscular tail.
